8TV Global Watch: Alibaba’s Singles Day Sales 2018

8TV’s Global Watch interviewed me on Alibaba’s Singles’ Day sales 2018 [13th Nov 2018]:

1. After 10 years of “intensive training” by Single’s Days sales, China’s e-commerce professionals, from engineers, marketing, logistics etc, have become the world-class e-commerce players in the world, who are capable in handling such a big volume of concurrent sales activities from end to end

2. The significance of Singles’s Day sales is how Alibaba managed to create an online shopping festival owned by the group, and how it made it to be the world’s largest shopping event 

3. Logistics is the “last mile” of e-commerce, of which it needs to be improved to align with the growth of e-commerce in Malaysia and the region
